Tenor Immo Schr\u00f6der<\/strong> began his musical training studying viola, piano, voice, and composition. At the Music Conservatory in Detmold<\/strong> he first studied Music Pedagogy and then Voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After graduating, he continued his studies at the Amsterdam Conservatory<\/strong> and took masterclasses with Thomas Quasthoff<\/strong>, Christoph<\/strong> Pr\u00e9gardien<\/strong>, Peter Schreier<\/strong>, and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immo Schr\u00f6der has performed the Oratorios of J. S. Bach in numerous festivals in Europe, the US, and Israel, working with Cantus C\u00f6lln<\/strong> (K. Jungh\u00e4nel)<\/strong>,<\/em> the Harp Consort <\/strong>(Andrew Laurence-King), <\/strong><\/em>the Rheinische Kantorei<\/strong> (Hermann <\/strong><\/em>Ma<\/em>x) <\/strong>the Jerusalem Symphony<\/strong> Orchestra<\/strong> (Leon Botstein)<\/strong><\/em> and the Netherland<\/b> <\/b><\/em>Bach<\/b> <\/b><\/em>Society<\/b> being a permanent member of the core ensemble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immo also performed contemporary compositions with the Neue Vocalsolisten Stuttgart<\/strong><\/em> and the Klangforum Heidelberg. <\/strong><\/em>He was invited to the Stockholm New Music Festival<\/strong> and the Biennale in Venice<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recordings include ”<\/strong>Sacred Cantatas<\/strong><\/em>”<\/strong> by D. Buxtehude<\/strong> (Solal<\/em>), ”<\/strong>Kapit\u00e4nsmusiken 1738<\/i><\/strong>+1744<\/em><\/strong>” <\/strong><\/em>and ”Erhabnes Gl\u00fcck der Ehe”<\/strong><\/em> by G.Ph.Telemann<\/strong> (cpo<\/em>), ”<\/strong>Der Messias\u201c<\/strong><\/em> by Andreas  Romberg<\/strong> (cpo), H.I.F.v Biber:<\/strong> ”Vespro della beata vergine”<\/strong> (Accent)<\/em> and ”Sacred Works” <\/strong><\/em>by G.Meyerbeer <\/strong>(cpo), J.S.Bach<\/strong>: ”Motets” <\/em><\/strong>(cpo)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Immo works as well as an choral arranger<\/em><\/strong> and enjoys conducting both a mixed choir and a women’s choir in Stockholm. Since 2015 he’s organizing annual summer courses<\/em><\/strong> in a-cappella <\/em>singing in Ingar\u00f6.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
